A hidden gem on the roof

We love nothing better than a pleasant surprise or finding an unexpected hidden gem when out and about in Stratford-upon-Avon, and on a warm summer’s day while walking around trying to agree on where to go for lunch as a family, we had a wonderful surprise in the form of the hidden gem that is the roof terrace at Zizzi in Sheep Street.

We walked up Sheep Street and noticed the sign that said “Roof Terrace” outside the Italian restaurant and with the sun beaming we all fancied having an extra look in… and what a wonderful hidden gem the roof turned out to be!

Service at Zizzi was super, from start to finish staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and courteous. The menu was lovely, classic Italian dishes and a great children’s menu. And when we had our food it turned out we were also in for a delicious and incredibly tasty culinary delight.

10 out of 10 on all counts. Except for the roof terrace, which we would give an 11 out of 10 – what a FAB-U-LOUS hidden gem with beautiful views of rooftops and the RSC.
