It’s not often you can say that you’ve spent the night in a property believed to be 1000 years old! Although some of the original features remain, Manor Cottage, a 3-bedroom holiday cottage that sleeps 6 (+2), is a historic building which today provides cracking self catering accommodation for families or groups up to six people. Formerly listed as the Chapel of St Polycarp and still in a relatively ruinous state in recent years, this now delightful cottage has undergone careful renovation to ensure that trusses, beams and original stone work are still present. The owners (who did much of the work themselves!) live next door and take great care to ensure that guests are comfortable and welcome. This is a great cottage to come and hide, in a village that is perfectly located for touring this area of the northern Cotswolds. A light airy cottage with a lovely enclosed garden and well worth a visit.
Manor Cottage is part of the Manor Farmhouse estate located on the edge of the beautiful village of Blackwell, just eight miles away from Stratford-upon-Avon. Pets and children are welcome in this cottage. Cot and high chair available and there is wifi in the cottage, but only in the conservatory.
